The national payment switch system consists of two systems; cash and non-cash. In line with digital thrust it is proposed that an electronic payment gateway be introduced which will cater for large and small payments. Small payments are mainly driven by mobile Financial services. This will lead to the provision of other electronic channels to enable payments and revenue collection for Government, local authorities and business at large.
